Dear Parent,

Greetings from the CIS IB department,

If you stopped to read these lines, chances are you have a child that is either thinking of joining the IB Programme or is actually on his way to achieving the Diploma. If any of these is the case, I would like to share some personal thoughts.

IB is a special time in the lives of our students at CIS; It is a time for big changes happening. They experience a big personal change and this might be either because they come from other curricula, where the structure and the expectations are completely different, a change in location, or it might be that it is a transition stage in their physical and intellectual growth.

After being part of this community of learning for 4 years now, I have come to the realization that we enjoy at CIS all the best features a school can offer to support a prospective student; CIS is a place I had not experienced before in my 15 years’ journey in education. Having taught in Spain both in public and private schools, there is something about the atmosphere in this school that makes it special.

CIS is simply an excellent choice to make your child grow from a high-school student into an independent, attractive university candidate, whatever the choice they make.

I am privileged to be part of this community and play a little part in it, and also in the life of your child.

Thanks for your trust in us. Do drop by anytime. We would like to let you know all about the Diploma Programme.
