CIS is a mosaic of cultures and has been so for many years. My association with the school has spanned almost 2 decades and I can vouch for the diversity we attract and celebrate. It has been an immense pleasure to work with all the ‘CIS actors’ in creating the amazing learning environment that CIS is today. As the recently concluded (May 2015) Council of International School (CIS) and New England Association of School & Colleges (NEASC) five-year review accreditation visit report puts it:
“Stable and committed leadership has nurtured a diverse learning community based upon what CIS values such as educating the whole child and a commitment to social responsibility. The quality of the learning experiences and the culture of the school community were truly international and grounded by a caring moral perspective. Each day of the visit reinforced the general pride of all stakeholders that CIS represents a culturally rich mosaic of students who are encouraged to develop lifelong skills and be responsible members of an ever-changing global community”
As K-12 Vice Principal, I have an administrative role that supports the entire ‘continuum’ of the school from Kindergarten to Grade 12. I also work towards integrating the boarding life into the rich life of the school. I look forward to a new academic year of shared learning with all the members of the CIS community. Let us shape the future together, today!
